Hi All
Attached is another well researched submission from Climate Action  
Groups covering the Carbon Polution Reduction Scheme legislation. It  
has been prepared for submission to the CPRS Exposure Draft  
Legislation, it is open for comment until 6th April and due on 13th  
April.
A similar submission will also go to a Senate review committee & the  
text of this one will be available at the weekend but it will need a  
quick turnaround as that one is due on the 8th April. On the basis of  
the attached document once again I think that TTT+ should endorse  
these submissions.

My apologies for missing the meeting yesterday.  I have been away for  
a week and although some part of me registered the meeting yesterday  
other parts of me were very caught up in other things and took  
control.  I have seen Carolyn this afternoon at the Narooma Plaza on  
my way home, which brought me back to here and now.  Saturday: I can  
provide table and chairs.  Jo, Carolyn said you might be able to get a  
cover from somewhere.  I am hoping others have handouts and posters.   
I will be caught up with egg throwing and boot throwing contests for a  
good deal of the day, but this is near where we are allocated a  
space.  If you can come and man or woman the table please do.  Again  
my apologies.  I am going to give this semi retirement away!!!   David

I have organised the loan of the SCPA marquee which Steve Stafford  
will bring to the top car park - I have to call him tomorrow to fix  
times etc and also to ask if he is returning it to them or whether I  
will have to take it back. I also have the posters and handouts and  
Ros Wood would like to put samples of her preserves on the table with  
a note saying they are available on the Transition Towns Table at the  
market in the car park. I will be able to put in an hour or so on the  
stall but I have guests staying so I can't be there much longer than  
that, What time does the festival start happening?

As discussed at last meeting on Wednesday,I have made inquiries about having a table representing TTTplus on 16 May. I think it is a further opportunity of making people aware of TTTplus  and what we hope to achieve in our local community. It is also the opportunity of showing people what can be done locally.eg make it,grow it ,sew it,bake it. I believe it would be good if we could have examples of this on the stall to sell..Any ideas. We would also need volunteers to man the stall.
At our last meeting we discussed amongst other things
1 the narooma Oyster Festival
2 Obtaining telephone numbers of Members.You could either email these details to peteranne at bordernet.com.au or ring 44737300.
3 additional means of reminding members of meetings as there were only a few present last Wednesday
4 Further ideas to involve Narooma Primary school.eg   Cooking at school and garden
5 Activities to involve those interested eg pruning of trees and schrubs.
6  after pruning demonstration a social event eg bbq
7 Training for presentations of Transition Towns. Jo and Carolyn will be doing this and they will then be able to give us an overview
8 Further activities to promote interest of others in Transition Towns. eg video at primary school showing children involved in the garden and cooking. 
9 the TTTplus banner.  We still need to obtain quotes for the banner
10 The Tilba Fair.We only have a few volunteers to man the stall and we were unable to finalise this on Wednesday as only a few people attended the meeting. If you can assist simply turn up at the stall in the street between the Tea Pot and the Pub.
We would appreciate any ideas about future activities and involvement in Oyster Festival. If you are unable to attend the next meeting at THE PINK HOUSE on WEDNESDAY !3 MAY 2009 at 2.30pm you can email your ideas.

I have posted application for table on behalf of Transition towns tttplus.I had discussions today with a number of producers  selling at the Tilba markets and a number may join in the table to encourage people to  buy locally. The range of goods that may be available on the table would include bush foods,local produce,locally baked goods,jams etc which are sold at the Tilba markets . The stall will sell such goods or advise where they can be obtained.The theme is make it, bake it,grow it sow it.

Hepburn Wind are proposing the establishment of a peak body  
supporting Community Renewable Energy projects which currently fall  
through the cracks of government funding mechanisms. The proposal  
envisages a revolving fund of largely Commonwealth funding available  
for establishing community renewable energy projects. It would  
provide professional support and advice (technical, legal etc) and  
templates and shared experiences so that communities don't need to  
keep reinventing the wheel.
The Climate Action Summit groups are sending a supporting letter and  
would like us to sign as supporting the initiative. Please let me  
know if you have strong feelings - positive or negative- so I can let  
Tracey know our position.
It sounds like a great idea to me but I would like to know how you  
see it. I think this would not be applicable to the private purchase  
of solar panels on a bulk buy basis as is currently being negotiated  
with Pyramid Power because that is already eligible for government  
support but who knows - I might be wrong on that
